FAQs

  • My therapy practice is located in Irvine, CA. I see therapy clients in-person at my office and via tele-health across California.

  • Unfortunately, I do not. If your insurance accepts out of network providers, I can provide a superbill for you to be reimbursed.

  • When first starting, I strongly recommend meeting weekly for 4-6 weeks to help build rapport to enhance the therapeutic process. After that period, we can make adjustments to the cadence.

  • Sexual wellness (also known as sex therapy) is a specialized form of talk therapy that helps individuals or couples address sexual concerns, such as physical, emotional, or psychological challenges affecting intimacy. Its goal is to improve communication, resolve issues, and enhance sexual well-being.

  • It’s completely okay to feel unsure about starting therapy—it’s a big step. We can start with a simple conversation, no pressure, just to explore what’s on your mind and see if it feels like a good fit. Therapy is about figuring things out together, and I’d love to support you if you’re ready to take that first step.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
